The Loyalty Logistix Footfall Counter is a people counting system which automatically collects information on the number of visitors to retail outlets.

Businesses invest countless millions on schemes for attracting customers but how many businesses away from the High Street monitor the activity generated as a result of this expenditure?

Counting the number of visitors crossing the threshold of a retail outlet gives information that can contribute to answering many associated questions such as:

What was the increase in public interest in our vehicles resulting from the recent TV Advertising?
What is the conversion rate between customer´s activity and sales?
Do we specifically need to attract more customer interest or do we need to improve what we offer?

The footfall counter system consists of a passive infrared device set up to detect motion in a narrow field across the entrance(s) of a dealership showroom. Each time someone passes through the field an electronic counter is incremented. At regular time intervals the device connects to a mobile phone network and uploads the recorded data to the internet. The uploaded data is processed and presented as a set of activity reports.

The reports can be entirely standalone or the information incorporated into a larger KPI system where it can be seen in the context of other retailer performance data.

	Motion Detector	Inconspicuous passive infrared motion detector (similar to an intruder detector) mounted adjacent to showroom entrances / exits.
	Web Based Portal	Web based portal to present a range of graphical and tabulated results.
	Data Transfer	Data can be represented and overlaid on a territory map, so the TV Broadcasters can be analysed for effectiveness, and open points can be more easily identified.
	Mobile Data Device	Incorporated in the body of the detector to upload data to the internet.
